When you install and use Watermarkly, we collect:

• Shop information: Your Shopify store domain and access tokens required for the app to function.
• Product images: We temporarily download and process your product images to apply watermarks. Original images are stored securely on cloud storage (AWS S3) to enable the undo/restore feature.
• Watermark settings: Your configured watermark preferences (text, font, position, opacity, etc.).
• Activity logs: Records of watermark operations for your reference.

2. How We Use Your Information

We use the collected information solely to:

• Apply watermarks to your product images as requested.
• Store original images for the undo/restore feature.
• Maintain your watermark settings and preferences.
• Process billing through Shopify's native subscription system.
• Provide activity logs and job tracking.

3. Data Storage and Security

Your data is stored securely using industry-standard cloud infrastructure (AWS S3 for images, PostgreSQL for settings). All data is encrypted in transit. We do not share, sell, or distribute your images or data to third parties.

4. Data Retention

We retain your data for as long as the app is installed on your store. Original images are retained based on your plan (7-90 days) to enable restoration, then automatically deleted. Upon uninstalling the app, all your data including stored images, settings, and logs are permanently deleted.

5. Third-Party Services

We use the following third-party services:

• Shopify: For authentication, billing, and product image management.
• Amazon Web Services (AWS): For secure cloud storage of original images (S3).
• Sentry: For error monitoring to improve app reliability (no personal data collected).
• Google Fonts: For watermark font preview (client-side only, no data sent to Google from your store).

6. Your Rights

You have the right to:

• Access your stored data by contacting us.
• Request deletion of your data at any time.
• Restore original images before uninstalling.
• Export your activity logs.

7. GDPR Compliance

We comply with Shopify's mandatory GDPR webhooks for customer data requests, customer data erasure, and shop data erasure.

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Changes will be posted on this page with an updated date.
